To give you an idea what we're talking about, take a look at the controller configuration of SSX Tricky. Truth to be told, the Xbox and GameCube versions of SSX Tricky we played were so early in development that they shouldn't be seen as indicative of what the final titles will be like - but the question remains an important one: what are developers doing to make sure that hit games don't lose anything when they're ported from one platform to the other. While we were eager to see how the PS2 game would look and sound running on Xbox and GameCube, we were equally interested in seeing how EA would deal with the unique button configurations of the different consoles' controllers. We were recently able to get hands-on with EA's upcoming upgrade to the PlayStation 2 blockbuster SSX, dubbed SSX Tricky.
